How to Leave Your Current Political Party and Join NADU
If you’d like to switch your political affiliation and become a member of NADU (NATIONAL ADVOCACY FOR DEMOCRATIC UNITY), here’s a clear and simple guide to help you resign from your current party and register with NADU using either your phone or an online portal.
🔁 Step 1: Resign from Your Current Party
Option 1: Using the USSD Code *509#
- On your phone, dial
*509#. - If it’s your first time using this service, follow the setup prompts—enter your national ID number and first name as they appear on your ID.
- You’ll get a PIN from ORPP via SMS.
- Dial
*509#again and input the PIN. - Navigate to the “Membership” section.
- Choose the option labeled “Resign” to initiate the resignation process.
- Confirm your details when prompted to complete the process.
Option 2: Through the ORPP Online Portal
- Go to the ORPP portal or access it via eCitizen.
- Sign in or register using your ID number and first name.
- Once logged in, go to the “Membership Resignation” section.
- Follow the steps provided, including verifying an OTP sent to your phone, to confirm your resignation.
- Once done, verify your status to ensure you’re no longer listed under any party.
✅ Step 2: Register with the NADU Party
Option 1: Using the USSD Code *509#
- Dial
*509#on your phone. - Enter the ORPP PIN you received earlier.
- Select “Membership” from the menu.
- Choose the option to “Join a Party.”
- Type in the party name: NADU.
- Enter NADU’s party code: .
- Follow the prompts to provide your county, constituency, and ward.
- Confirm your details to complete your NADU registration.
Option 2: Via the Online Portal
- Log in to IPPMS or through eCitizen.
- Click on the “Join a Party” section.
- Select NATIONAL ADVOCACY FOR DEMOCRATIC UNITY (NADU) from the list.
- Complete the required form with your personal and location details.
- Submit your application. Once approved, your party membership will be updated.
